Most if not everyone knows what 14th of February every year represents. For a lot, the day just passes by, but for some, it means more that the rest (like a friend of ours who’s birthday falls on the 14th!). Today in the calender year, couples get to rekindle the romance and say our “I love you”-s…. something we might hesitate to say on another day of the year.

Be it if you’re celebrating or like our writer, hoping that next year will not be as lonely as this one, here is our top 5 things we enjoy the most about Valentine’s Day :-

Day of Love 

We think that its real cool that the world has a day that we can celebrate love. If or not a person wants to admit it, everyone needs love however form it might come. And if someone says otherwise, they just haven’t found or been in love. That’s person is possibly your 5 year old younger brother playing with his G.I Joe (we hope kids are still playing these, do they?), who hasn’t yet understood family, friendly or romantic love. Once he does, we are sure he will appreciate love and what today means for those who are celebrating it

Fancy Dinner & Dress Up

Its one of those days where you’re willing to go where you normally won’t and possibly further than you usually are used to. Which says a lot about how some lovers treat the day. They dress up go to a posh restaurant, have an amazing dinner and spend a bomb making it to happen. But in the end, sharing a nice warm chocolate cake with the one that you love ….. well that’s priceless isn’t it?

Flowers & Chocolates

Boys…. unless your girl is allergic to flowers or cocoa intolerant, then they are lying about hating other one of them. We really don’t know why flowers have become the symbol of love as they have, but flowers do bring a surreal sense of joy that cannot be explained. They don’t do much but they really don’t have to, every girl appreciates that you took the time to get them some. Add a box of sweet Belgium chocolates into the mix – hey, that for us is a “pretty sweet” combination.

Couples & Kisses

Parents might not like what we are about to say, but kissing is great. For those who have had the intimate action- its a near unexplainable feeling the first time you ever did it. As couples continue, kisses represent the one of the most pure representation of love besides saying “i love you”. And being that, we endorse kissing for those couples who understand the true feeling of “being kissed” – the feeling of being in love.

Singles

Although couples celebrate this day, this is one of those significant days where a single man (in a more conventional setting), has a better fighting chance to win over the heart of the girl. Valentine’s Day is such a great excuse for a man to really gauge if a girl really likes him or to break the “I like you” to her for the first time. There is a actually a higher chance of her saying “yes” than she would normally do. Valentine’s Day is not only a day to rekindle relationships but also a great day where the Minnie says yes to Mickey. And we think that makes Valentine’s that extra special.
